What happens at your first appointment?

Prior to your first appointment, we will email an electronic form for you to complete so we can have your details on file and so the practitioners can know a little bit about you prior to your session.

The session will start with one of our experienced physiotherapists discussing your injury and medical history. A physical assessment will be undertaken to determine the nature and appropriate management of your condition or sporting injury. Your condition will then be treated.

Times and duration for appointments

  • Initial appointments: 45 to 60 minutes
  • Standard appointments: 30 minutes
  • Extended appointment types are also available if you have multiple injuries/areas requiring treatment

What do you bring / wear?

  • Any referrals, relevant scans/investigations or reports that relate to your condition if you have them
  • Comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated where possible
  • If you forget to bring or wear the right clothes, that’s okay we have gowns/towels we can use to ensure you feel comfortable

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No, you don’t need a referral if you are attending as a private patient, as we are first line health care practitioners 

However, if you are attending under WorkCover or Third Party (CTP), you will need a referral. We ask that you contact our office prior so we can sort out the relevant paperwork with your insurer.

Parking

We have both onsite parking at the rear of our premises and free on-street parking available

Do we have HICAPS / on-the-spot claiming?

Yes, we have HICAPS available on site for your convenience which enables us to swipe your health fund card on site. Once this is done, all you will need to pay upfront is the gap. This amount will vary between health funds and level of cover

Do we have a cancellation policy?

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy, meaning we require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Do we only treat athletes and sports-related injuries?

No, we treat all kinds of patients including:

  • Post-operative
  • Acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries
  • Neurological conditions
  • Vertigo and balance-related issues
  • TMJ/jaw dysfunction
  • Back and neck pain
  • Work-related injuries

Do we treat WorkCover and Third Party / CTP patients?

Yes, all of our practitioners are registered SIRA providers meaning they are qualified to treat both WorkCover and Third Party/CTP patients

If you require treatment under WorkCover or Third Party/CTP, you will require a referral from your GP along with details from your insurance company to commence treatment. To book, please contact our team and we will insure we have the information we need to commence your treatment.

Do we treat Defence / DVA patients?

Yes, we treat both white and gold card patients. All you need is a referral from your GP outlining what condition/area you need treatment, then you can commence treatment.

Yes! If you are looking to just utilise one particular treatment modality, contact our clinic today and let us know what you are keen to utilise. Our practitioners will ensure the modality is appropriate and safe for you to use, and will be able to tailor treatment to you.
